How CivicPet Licensing handles municipal licensing data on this rebuild platform.

What we collect

Agencies store resident contact details, pet records, license numbers, application documents, and payment status needed to administer local pet licensing. Public verification pages show only license status and basic pet identity — not private owner contact fields.

How data is used

Data is used for licensing workflows: applications, renewals, clerk review, expiration notices, and audit history. Staff notes and audit events stay inside the agency workspace.

Retention & access

Each municipality controls its roster. Voided licenses are retained for audit unless an authorized admin removes a void record. Staging and production environments are separate; training data on staging is not a production cutover.
